You may have noticed a patch in TF2 recently. This was a big patch because…cvar’s have been enabled for server admin use!! If you head on over to San Jose Slaughter you’ll notice a much different server as Friendly Fire is now back on and Crits have been turned off, turning TF2 back 10 years to the original TF. However, currently you gain frags for accidentally killing your teammates. People who continuously do that will be banned forever so be careful!

Best day of the week during football season, hands down.
Sure #Hostile gets gayed up with the play by plays of every score in every game but there’s so much sport to digest it’s tough not to indulge. Today my Giants won in a regular season game in England but looked bad doing it, meanwhile the Colts and Patriots juggernaut teams continue to roll over all and meet up next week in the most anticipated game in decades. The cool stuff doesn’t just happen in the NFL either, there’s a new entry into best all-time football endings.
Just when you thought the onslaught of rhythm games was over, out comes Guitar Hero 3 for just about every system. If you can’t get enough of Guitar Hero 2, I don’t see why you haven’t picked this up yet. They even have a wireless guitars for all of the systems it is on. For those that want to see the song listing, here is the link for it.
As for other features, here are a few:

Come on flight junkies, come out of the woodwork and rock out on some Ace Combat 6. I haven’t gotten a chance to indulge in the game yet due to Team Fortress 2 business but I did purchase the super bundle with the sticks and shit. From my understanding, you can coop over Xbox Live and also forming squads of four to go up against another squad of four, but again I still have yet to play the game myself. My brother has been the one going at it since he has nothing better to do and has told me that the game friggin rocks assholes from Los Angeles to New York. If you pick the game up, drop a line in the Games section of the forums.
To those poor saps that play Team Fortress 2 on the XBOX 360, I pity you. But if you really do insist on playing then you should start rejoicing because there is a new update for you guys. These are the items up on the console update:
• Reduced network bandwidth usage in multiplayer.
• Improved overall game performance.
• Arranged search results to favor preferred host conditions.
• Improved searching for ranked games.
• Addressed a possible false report of too little storage space on larger hard drives.
Me personally, I wouldn’t touch this heaping pile of garbage. Me and [Ht]Ons tried it out at E4All over in the EA section, whooped up on some kids and adults alike. Rocket jumping on those dual analog sticks is like playing games at the regular Olympics when are handicapped, it is just not right. Maybe your PC just sucks so much ass that you need to get it for the console thus justifying the purchase… Nah Stop making excuses and upgrade your computer already.
Looks like I’ll be manning this for the weekend as others have left for the weekend. I’m not a witty poster like Mad but I have my highlights.
Valve has updated TF2 and I believe almost all of our servers have been updated. You can check out the update notes here. The most notable change in this update is the medic, you can actually kill shit now with the medic! The syringe gun is still a piece of shit, but fear not, you can actually dish out real damage now.
For those that live in Southern California, I do hope you are staying away from the fires. As for me, I have been monitoring the San Diego news since Sunday since I used to live down there. Quite the number of people I know were evacuated and such down there since it plowed into populated areas. [Ht]Cijid has some fire pictures from his house since he lives in the boonies. I don’t usually post car news, but heres an exception. Today, Nissan finally officially announced production of the GT-R. No more concepts, no more leaked pictures of a car totally covered in a bra sans the taillights and windshield on a back desert road, the real deal. Starting May 2008, for a expected $68,000 USD you can compete with Ferraris at 2/5ths the price. Anyone who has played Forza or PGR can appreciate this video of the GT-R’s ring time: 7:38.

So we’ve hit the halfway mark with week 7 in the books. Most of the hardcore Fantasy Footballers round out the top 5 with Bucky moving into 1st with a monster week (185 points). Pretty much positions 8 and below are done for the year as reaching the playoffs will be tough at 3-4 but it is possible. Speedy, Breathe and Cijid round out the cellar dwellars.
