I know some of the #Hostile residents will think I am a hardcore WoW hater and well that’s just not the case. Yes I don’t and won’t play it anymore as it’s been degraded into the easiest game ever made and I like a challenge but for all those carebears that enjoy timesinks then keep at it. It’s so freakin’ easy even hollywood starlets can play it so it’s obviously not worth my attention anymore. With the expansion about to come out the live events have begun, with infected zombies popping up and spreading their disease. While most of us are in Warhammer I am sure the expansion will bring some people back to check out the new content.

If you are an OG Quaker you’ll love nQuake. It’s the old Quakeworld client with the GL and all the upgrades in a nice easy to install package. You’d be surprised that people STILL play original Quake and Team Fortress! Watch the video on the page to see how good it looks…for a game over 13 years old.
I was digging through the web archives and stumbled across a few of the old Ht websites. Check out our previous installment Packetlost.com and our original TF clan site Hostile.Abomination.com. On the Packetlost site you can even delve deeper and see some of our individual sites, unfortunately the private Planet Hostile does not work because of log-in but for old Ht members you’ll know this is a blessing in disguise as that site was a mess and a half.

Okay folks, time to blog about something near and dear to me. Console hockey. Ever since the days of NHL94 on the genesis I’ve been a hockey nut. Then came the era of Xbox Live and online hockey and I was forever hooked. Pretty much since Xbox Live was around on the first Xbox, 2k Sports/SEGA ran the show with their ESPN hockey series. Most everyone in #hostile was in agreement that the 2k series was always better than the EA series, because, well, it was. It outsold EA, was more “simmy” and it’s online matchmaking was superior. Thankfully, EA decided to fight back….

Some of the old schoolers will remember a guy named [Ht]Buri. Buri was one of our original members in the Team Fortress days and continued to play on until WoW. We haven’t seen him in quite some time and thought, well he’s obviously lost in an MMO somewhere and I doubt we’ll ever see him again until the spell is broken. Well, it turns out the spell has morphed into something scary as Buri now has gone to great extremes in WoW. Check out how deep the drug has gone. On a positive note, at least he’s making life miserable for the Alliance!
I was watching Attack of the Show awhile ago and they featured this midget who likes to get dressed up and film himself imitating famous people. He became a cultural phenomenon over night and has continued to produce video after video of weirdness. That’s all well and good but it looks like he’s getting into his characters a bit too much, evident by his latest WTF moment. Check it. Read more »
The Fallout, Now with Pirates!
Whoah. It looks like Fallout 3 got leaked. How the fuck does that happen when it’s purely internal at this point?! Regardless, they will find out who did it as it’s much easier to track if it’s still in internal stages. I know from our end pirating console games is a waste of time. Why take the chance you won’t be able to play a top level FPS online? Hell no. One day Microsoft is going to drop the hammer and logging into a game that isn’t even close to being out yet on your XBox Live account is just asking for it. Well let’s hope it doesn’t show up on Piratesbay or anything.
