Yahtzee is at it again with another Zero Punctuation review of this months big title, GTA 4. As always he rips the game asunder pointing out the obvious problems we all overlook in the name of fun. My biggest gripe with the game is the hand holding through everything you learn how to do, I feel like I’m not even doing anything because they keep telling me exactly what to do! I found an interesting little game today…
With the EPL season over all of the soccer nutters have to wait a few months for the next season to begin. But, what a way to close it out. A race right to the final for the 2 top teams was pretty epic. Speaking of epic, Guy Richie directed this Nike advert that just blows away the zero to hero angle with one of Arsenal’s bench players. Retinal Stimulation Only Please
When I first started playing Age of Conan I wasn’t overly impressed with the graphical presentation. As a game developer the way a game is modeled and how environments are lit are huge indications to me to the level of production the game gets overall. But I have to admit, this game threw a bit of a screwball on me as I started to play it as the graphics continually get better as the game progresses. Sure, the player models overall are a bit stricken with down syndrome but in a game where hundreds of original characters are needed I guess I’ll let that one slide. I know a bunch of us had tons of fun with Gears of War, the multiplayer was a blast and the co-op in the single player had some nice moments as well. So it comes as no surprise the sequel is already coming up this November exclusively for 360. Here’s a halfway decent look at the gameplay for GoW 2 and the only reason I mention it being only halfway decent is because Cliffy B’s intro presence makes you want to throw up in your mouth. As well, I threw in another trailer for Mirror’s Edge, a parkour style game by EA that will only be on the PS3. Read more »

The #Hostile EPL Pool ended this weekend. It came as no surprise as I ended up taking the overall pool with great ease, my sports nerd knowledge easily holding back the pretenders to my crown. But, the real competition has only begun with the Ht Ultimate Pool just getting underway. The EPL format is the most foreign for us so it was good to see plenty of people participate and try it out. Feel free to enter next year and beat down all the participants in our Ultimate, which I will end up winning as well.
