In the past on this site I had resorted to posting up music occasionally. As someone who pours through music blogs everyday looking for new released shit I always wanted to share the gems but the fact is no one’s tastes will ever mirror your own. Music is and always will be someones own personal device and you can not push something on someone with different tastes…which is everyone. I can only hope to turn on but a small percentage of people onto a track or album if I did continue to do so, which I haven’t in the past few months. But today I am getting rid of all my links clogging up Firefox before the holidays and I did come across a nice free gem of an album you may be interested in. It is a mixture of Adele’s Grammy nominated work and Mick Boogie, a competent producer in his own right. You can download it here, burn it, decorate it and give it to your woman as a Christmas gift.

I’m really digging the new formats going up on youtube. High quality was sweet and now the new formats “watch in HD” are even better. Check out the quality of this performance from TV on the Radio on Letterman. Since everyone probably has broadband and a youtube account you may benefit from this quick guide which makes the videos automagically play for you in high quality.

Enjoy Flight of the Conchords Season 2 premiere which hits HBO in January. Word is writing all new material was stressful so they won’t be doing a third season. Season 1 was really good but any fan knows how much was taken from their existing material so starting season 2 from scratch must have been rough.
This is US only. Canadians can hit up the torrent or wait it out for 6 days when it will be available on HBO Canada.
I’m pretty pissed about Vista in general. Shit it forced my latest career change. When you deploy Microsoft Operating Systems for a living and the public decides to hate the product you NEED to take off to pay the bills because of competitor ad campaigns… well you take a step back and try to figure out whats coming next.
Don’t get me wrong I think Vista is a great operating system and I haven’t had a problem with it. Even 64 bit is coming along better than I expected. Soon, there will be Windows 7, which I think is going to have a larger 64bit install base than 32bit. Expect the Windows after that to be only 64bit. So haters need to realize the future is 64bit multi-core and that future runs through Vista (even if it is only the gateway to Win7). Games are going to support quad cores on the regular come next year. Crysis and FarCry 2 already do it. Yes, hopefully next year that list will contain games actually worth installing but at least some developers are trying. With such demanding applications comes the need for 4GB+ RAM and that leaves XP on the curb. Oh its coming.
Microsoft, believe it or not, makes so much possible if you just want to get your hands dirty. Not everyone does want to get their hands dirty and they should mapquest the closest Apple store.
Lets look at making use of a real benefit to Vista that is highly annoying but to me very welcomed, UAC. The thing that pops up “all the fucking time”. The ammunition of every Vista hater and Mac fanboy on the planet. The thing your buddy told you to turn off as soon as you get your new computer.

The first is a real life adaptation of Dragonball starring Chow Yun Fat. The next is Mickey Rourke and a stripper Marisa Tomei in The Wrestler but before you write this off it’s made by Darren Arofnosky, one of the greatest directors of all time. Next is Powder Blue, a character piece set in L.A. ala Crash but stars some real heavyweights including Jessica Biel as you guessed it, a stripper. I’ve also snuck in a teaser trailer for an animated ninja movie called Goemon that looks sicktastic. The final one is the 4th installment in the Terminator series this time with Christian Bale taking on John Connor in the future.

So for the nine PS3 owners out there you’ll be happy to know that the PS3 Home feature will be going live on December 11th. I’ve had the displeasure of being in the beta and getting to poke around and while there is potential to be something very cool the pure gayness of video game players will ensure this never happens. So I can make my own pad, decorate it and hang pictures of my favorite games on the wall. Then what, lure tweener gamers into there for legal pedophilic love? Lame.
