Google, Now Stalker Friendly

When I first saw this video of Google Latitude I was impressed.

Technology is really advancing quickly. But then it began to sink in. This is like a stalkers wet dream. Being able to GPS track any and all of your friends sounds cool on the outside but when it actually happens do you really want everyone to know when you accidentally walk to into a gay bar, or go and get your crabs cured at the local clinic? I recently jumped on the Twitter bandwagon with Carl and following Facebook, Myspace, MSN and the like the ability to really know what everyone is up to every waking moment is beginning to get a bit scary…and real. For instance, I know what Carl had for dinner last night, do you?

The Demon Awaits…

Silicone Stand-out

Now here is a world record we can all get behind.

Screw how many hot dogs you can eat in a minute or how long you can grow nipple hair, biggest implants of all time is a true record! Those funbags look like they are about to burst though so if you’re in Texas you best run for cover.

Hax0r Jim Duggan Strikes

Some may have noticed the site was down for maintenance for a day. The rumors flying around was that someone infiltrated and planted some vicious malware which was true but luckily Warning was on top of that shit and took care of business. The site got some added popularity with some recent content so I’m not overly surprised someone found our little corner of the internet and maliciously attacked us. In the future if anything scares you when visiting just hit us up in IRC and we’ll send out our crack SWAT team. Now we’ll return you to your mentally scarring programming.

Upcoming Crosshairs

There’s two shooters on the horizon I think are worth mentioning…

The first is 50 Cent’s Blood on the Sand. Yes, it’s a totally hokey idea of 50 Cent out in the arab desert stopping terrorists with his martial arts and gun skills. I know he’s considered a poser sometimes but as you can tell with my interview with him a lmost a year ago that he’s passionate about his global agenda. So now we come to the games release and everyone writing it off before they have even tried it. I get it, you don’t like 50. But don’t discount a shooter made by a reputable studio right away, most of the early reviews have said the game is actually very good even if it’s a bit Gears of War’ish. Here’s a EuroGamer review that actually liked it.

The other game is a sequel to an old favorite Rockstar title of mine, Red Dead Revolver. Rockstar has announced the sequel entitled Red Dead Redemption and from the screenshots it looks very bad ass. I am not a fan of westerns but the last western shooter I had played, Call of Juarez, was actually kind of fun and this one promises a more open world style to it. So keep an eye on this one.

Return of Nixon

Trick Ass Busta

Warning just mentioned in his last post about HollaDaddy.

It may be old in IRC years but it’s still worthy of a few laughs so check it!

Merry Sharkmas!

Link Leakage

Damn, NHL Arcade got delayed by Microsoft until the 11th for XBL Arcade but its now available on PSN. My plans for the day have been foiled. Its like 4 degrees outside so I’m going to pass on hitting the mountain, thought I’d share all the stuff I stumbled  upon today that was worth reading.

To start things off Goonfleet scored a major victory in Gunny’s favorite game, Eve online. Read about it here. Pretty impressive. You can see the map change from yesterday to today. In other semi related news the gamesurge staff took #tf2 from us and gave it to some gaming group looking to make money off TF2 gamers. Not like we were using it anyway, but I mean c’mon I always gave good tech advice in there and we didn’t try to make a buck off of anyone. Take it off your idle list.

DICE announced 2 new Battlefield titles. Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1943. Battlefield 1943 looks interesting. Its a release of some of the pacific maps we grew to love in Battlefield 1942 using the new engine that will fuel Bad Company 2. While I usually hate recycled garbage, the fact that it will be available as downloadable content on Xbox and PS3 is interesting. Never seen a XBLA game with such depth. Check out a trailer here.

Then there is this guy who made some fake gangsta profiles on myspace and had loads of fun with them. Check out holladaddy.com for his chronicals.

Some bitter Leafs fans are having tons of fun with a fake twitter account for Brian Burke. Hockey followers should get a laugh from it.

Skate 2 already hit up the DLC with advanced camera controls for the replay editor and now there is leakage of new skate parks maybe as soon as the 19th.

Bill Gates is being productive with his retirement by unleashing swarms of mosquitoes on rich executive types.

Everyone’s favorite firefox plugin expands to IE and Safari. Seriously, use it, never lose your bookmarks again.

Oh yeah, Halo Wars demo hit XBLA Marketplace this morning. Click here to que it up to download on your Xbox 360.

I challenge you not to laugh at this.

Super Blown

By now you probably heard the rumor that comcast played some porn during the superbowl. Well the DVR footage is in and it appears true. NSFW obviously. Keep in mind it probably wasn’t THAT offensive since Evan Stone only acts in quality porn you know, with plots and stuff. Take for example one of his latest…

Show Some Love

Damn, it is hard to wade through all the shit that is “popular” on youtube to find directors worth watching. I’ll save you the trouble and point you to MrChiCity. Check out his latest stuff it is sure to get you lollin. Pic unrelated.

Yo Joe!

Remember how hyped the Transformers movie was? Well, the GI Joe movie is the same to me, this is the one I am hoping Hollywood doesn’t butcher. Sure, it’s going to be campy and silly but as long as they stay true to the characters, have tons of great visuals and don’t make Cobra Commander some dork with a nasally voice I’ll be happy. There’s a few decent actors in it but until we actually get some feedback and reviews the jury is still out. Tomorrow during the Superbowl they will show the first true teaser trailer with actual footage, but why wait just watch it now! Read more »

Spy-Fi Spoiler

There’s a few MMO’s on the horizon where the jury is still out. Darkfall is out next month but is receiving mixed reviews in the beta. Aion is a Korean MMO I mentioned a couple of weeks ago and look for me to post a way to get into the open beta sometime this upcoming week, but lets not forget this is an azn game and well, we aren’t all azn. Another one some of the Planetside guys have been hyping is Global Agenda. I personally don’t feel this is going to be a great game. Yes, it’s an FPS MMO but not like Planetside which had plenty of vehicles embedded. It’s more like a Quake Wars MMO which I don’t feel is worth playing. But with any game, the jury is out until we can try it first. So check out this trailer for the game that shows a ton of the features that will be available so you can begin to jump on the bandwagon or go tumbling off.
