The NBA season ended awhile ago which means the 4th of the 5 Ultimate Pools is also over. With the Ultimate lasting an entire sports year by the time MLB, NFL and NHL were over most of us had stopped caring and it showed in the results. Lineups stopped being edited, no free agent had been picked up in months and no one even really cared Bren and Rumple pulled off a cross-league trade that gave Bren an advantage till the end. As anti climactic as this pool was and a deciding factor in myself not running Ultimate 2: Fantasy Boogaloo the results of the NBA run is going to decide the final tallies. Bucky is running away with it after winning the NBA which is pretty ironic considering the dumbass not only blew up his XBox but also his PC and even though the guy is azn he can’t figure out how to fix either. So lets hope the winnings will allow Bucky to get some real hardware and not go M.I.A. for another year again.

I have to give huge props to Tickenest who’s been the catalyst for keeping QWTF memories alive by porting mass amounts of old matches to YouTube. Check out how many old school TF matches you can sit back and watch. It’s insane how many he’s gotten! While most of them are from the east coast clans we unfortunately lost most of our match demos and could only scrounge up a few to let him encode over to the site. You should definitely subscribe to Tick’s Youtube channel as he continuously adds matches and also embeds Speedstats for all these old matches! So embedded are 3 matches from our past. One of them is the legendary Ht vs. Kaizen match as well as a Well6 match vs. MP and one of our biggest matches of all time, the time we broke Aftermath’s 23 match win streak and won the Wells of Chaos title which also led to Aftermath disbanding the next day. From the creators of Crank comes a new big budget movie called Gamer. Starring Gerard Butler this is a sci-fi action movie about online gaming blurring into reality. Supposedly it’s as crazy as the original Crank so can’t wait to see this. Ludacris, Alison Lohman and Kyra Sedgwick also are in it. Michael C. Hall (Dexter) plays the bad guy. Oh, and mouse over the interactive poster and also check out a leaked Italian trailer for it.

So most of you know about Darkfall. This very PvP based MMO has launched and has a small player base thanks to how difficult it is to actually get the game. All in all, it’s just not very complete and the consensus has been to stay away from it. But that doesn’t give reviewers the right to slam the game and slow down it’s ability to one day become a top tier MMO. Check out this forum post which details how Eurogamer reviewed the game and gave it a 2/10. Problem was Darkfall didn’t agree, checked the logs of the account and found out both reviewers barely even tried the game. That some moron can influence the general public on a games success is complete bullshit and I am glad Darkfall has published this and made it a big deal. Plus, any press is good press for them at this point.
