As someone who works in the games industry I get the question, “which console should I buy?” alot. In the end it’s all about personal preference, your willingness to spend and how much time you want to invest. Each console has it’s strong and weak points. But, I think warning pretty much sums it all up in one sentence.
<warning> xbox is the console for ppl with online friends, wii is for ppl with irl friends, ps3 is for ppl with no friends

Finally the day arrived with Modern Warfare 2 dropping yesterday. Easily the most anticipated game of all time, the question I am going to answer for you, the one that is on the tip of your lips…does it live up the hype? Well that’s easy, hell yes. This is the most complete game we’ve ever seen with 3 game modes that easily are at the pinnacle of their genres. After Modern Warfare’s single player story set the bar for storytelling and immersion the little I’ve had a chance to play has already exceeded expectations. Then there’s the multi-player which we’ve all dove right into. While they have given us what we knew was coming they have added a ton of stuff to make it all worthwhile. While you can endlessly unlock levels, titles, icons, perks, challenges, killstreaks and even more you’ll just be too awestruck to even ingest it all initially. It’s very overwhelming and there’s alot of new stuff to learn. There’s alot you’ll be used too with even some of the maps from previous versions re-worked but there’s a ton of new stuff that is very interesting and allows for new strategies. The new SpecOPS mode is the co-op version and how can it not be awesome? I wouldn’t know, haven’t had a chance to try it yet with all the online killing goin’ on. In the end it’s a must buy because if you love video games this is one of the best ever made. There’s been a bit of drama regarding the PC version and not having dedicated servers but in the end even with the new system it’s still going to be highly enjoyable and enough progression to keep you busy well into 2010. Almost all of us are on 360 version and you can hit up the gamertag thread to add Hostile’s to play with.
Just a quick update on the Hostile Takeover t-shirts people have been waiting for…

My goal was to have them available for order in late November so that people could point their loved ones to our website to purchase them as gifts but it doesn’t look like I’ll have everything together in time. My current estimate is that we’ll have the first run of Ht shirts (2 versions) available in mid-December. Currently I am working on the new website with Warning and waiting on art from our very talented artist, then we’ll be finishing off the other features and I’ll have the shirts prints. Unfortunately I will not begin selling the shirts until the site is done as the Ht order will be my test order and I need you bitches to help me out by buying them!! One thing I can promise, the designs already are pretty damn sweet and I am quite confident you’ll be buying your new favorite shirt. I’ll also be offering a promo item for those who buy 2 or more shirts at a time.

Ah DJ Hero, a niche market Guitar Hero clone and a damn good one.

I had a lot of fun playing through this game even though the learning curve is very steep. It has much more micro management than Rock Band or Guitar Hero but that’s OK, we all need a good challenge. As a fan of this type of music there’s a few really well crafted tracks and then a few stinkers but the good mash-ups outweigh the bad easily. The achievements are decent and doable if you’re able to complete tracks on Hard. They did a nice feature where you can never fail a song but then as well, you play a ‘set’ and not just a track so be prepared for the long haul when given the Daft Punk set and have to do 8 tracks in a row. There’s plenty of name DJ’s, including the deceased DJ AM in the game and if you want them right away then after the jump I’ve included all of the cheat codes for them. And if you just don’t give a shit about the game itself and just want to flail to all the weird mash-ups then grab the torrent that has 88 of the 93 tracks. Read more »

You knew it was coming, Skate 3! More of the same but that’s OK because that means more of the same WICKEDNESS! This time around it will center on creating a team and battling other teams so the game continues to evolve and include more and more multi-player. I know a ton of people visit our site for the Skate the Spots that Warning always publishes so look forward to the 3rd iteration as soon as the game drops! Time for the first trailer… Read more »
Here’s a game I suggest you never play!

How much longer are we going to have to wait for Natural Selection 2?
Too fucking long.
