It’s tough being a game addict, between making games and buying them I find I don’t have a lot of time for anything else. Especially now with so many good games coming out. TF2 of course is the king of kings around these parts, as we’ve been waiting 10 years to compete in a game worthy of our attention. But for those on the fence you really should read on…
The first game I want to talk about is Call of Duty 4. While previous titles focused on the ancient world wars and bored us to tears with the over saturation of zee germans, COD4 comes to present day and is truly amazing. The single player is fantastic with their goal being for you to experience all of the key moments of war. The highlights for anyone who has played through the game is the AC-130 bombing mission (think of those black n’ white death from above war videos) and the Chernobyl flashback sniper mission. Great cinematics and some amazing moments to enjoy such as surviving a nuclear attack, taking out the evil Russian while on your death bed and a nice bonus mission if you sit through the credits. But that’s just the single player, COD4’s success is due to it’s robust multiplayer. While there isn’t a ton of maps, the leveling system and adjacent challenges with a shitload of game modes makes this game deeper than you’ll ever experience and also is one of the best console shooters I’ve ever played. But of course, if you can get this for PC.
The second game is the just released Assassin’s Creed. Now we’ve been waiting for this one for awhile and knew that the only reason it was worthy of getting is because assassinating bitches is what life is all about. So how is it? It’s gorgeous. But is it fun? Yeah, I guess. Think Tenchu meets Grand Theft Auto meets Crackdown. It’s all about stealth and combing the cities for your targets. But what I love is it’s set in a genre that we’ve never seen exploited in games, the Crusader age. With amazing cities and an eerie futuristic storyline (oh yeah) with the weirdest interface you’ll ever encounter it’s definitely worth trying out but I’d say keep this one as a rental.

Let’s look at the facts.
1. I own my own English football team.
2. I’ve eaten things you haven’t even imagined possible.
3. I am the #1 ranked Cowbell Hero player on the planet.
4. I am way taller than you will ever be.
5. I watch movies in 5 seconds flat.
6. I am willing to take business risks to succeed.
7. I run a website that makes a real difference.
8. I live in the best city in the world.
9. I finished Assassin’s Creed in under 14 minutes.
10. I am the only person Lox isn’t afraid is out to get him.
I could go on, but I have better things to do.
Ht had their first playoff game tonight in TF2.
After a rash of pretty cruel predictions it was up to Ht to prove the TFC crowd wrong. But before that could happen, a Steam update hit right before the clans got ready for their matches. No surprise, Valve is clueless but what really chapped our tapped asses is that the map we had been scrimming on for a week straight had MAJOR changes made to it!! But, both clans had an hour to amalgamate to the new design and trod on. TDA is known as one of the top TFC clans and they showed it in a hard fought match. Ht lost 4-1 and was eliminated from the playoffs. Without a true match sniper we couldn’t dominate the middle and in Granary, that’s a surefire problem. TDA’s win is our loss as now we don’t get the chance to be raped by the Doctors on 2Forts.
So CEVO is over for us and the rest of the QWTF clans as Jailbait and Paradigm Shift both were eliminated as well. But at least you have this interesting POV of the Jailbait/Comedy Option game from the truest pervert in IRC, chrono. Oh, it’s very NSFW btw.

Descent? Freespace? Battle Chess? Fallout? If any of these titles sound vaguely familiar then you should start jumping with joy. According to Kotaku, Interplay is back baby! Here’s to hope for a new Freespace, hell even a new Descent.
If you have never EVER played Freespace 2 and you like space simulation type things… you damn well best find yourself a copy of both Freespace and Freespace 2 because you are missing out on some good ass shit by not playing this awesome game.

CEVO TF2 Playoffs Round 1 Recaps
Nothing is better than having actual footage and stuff when talking about a match. Well those guys over at Team Fortress TV did that and more! They compiled the demos they were able to get their hands on of the matches in round 1 and made a 30 minute video of it. They have some great footage of matches but lets leave it to the embedded video. They should have round 2 predictions up by tonight. The video is wonderful, my only issue with the video is the sound. When Will and Michael are on camera, you can barely hear them. There is no issue when they are talking over the match footage but they might need to obtain a boom mic or turn their mics up. There’s just too many damn TV shows out there nowadays. It’s hard to filter through the crap to find the good stuff. While shows such as House and Heroes continues to be strong for the #Hostile faithful I want to point out a couple of Showtime seasons wrapping up that were worth watching and give some linkage so you can catch up.
The first is Weeds. A hilarious yet shocking comedrama, this story focuses on a mother who becomes a pot dealer and all the repurcussions that come with selling the sinsemilla. But it’s just pure non-stop hilarity and this season started with a bang and kept on rolling. Kevin Nealon is hilarious as a crooked accountant and even one of the Olsen twins makes an appearance this year. So go and download season 3.
Another show that totally surprised me was the debut season of Californication. Never been a big David Duchovny fan but this show is good. It’s dark comedy combined with sex and slimeballs. The characters are all engaging and there’s even a storyline peppered in there with a down and out writer and his relationship with his ex and his daughter. Every episode has one scene you’ll be shaking your head in disbelief. Grab season 1.
Other notable shows with strong seasons wrapping up are South Park, Rescue Me and the always entertaining Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares. Asshole comes to America and yells at other assholes? Awesome.
Ok, who ordered some McLovin’?
The first round of CEVO playoffs were played tonight. Ht didn’t see any action as we have the bye first round. There was some big upsets with Balloons losing to Nurfed, pro team CAP n Crunch losing to MugNMouse, 407 Death Clan taking out BOSS and the Midnight Tokers upsetting Pandemic. DJedi lost to Experiment and Random New Clan lost to Tap Dat Ass who will be our opponents this week on Granary. There’s some very interesting match-ups with Jailbait taking on Comedy Option, Strictly Business having to visit the Doctors and our pals Paradigm Shift having to face off versus The Experiment.
