So people are starting to get bored of good ol’ TF2; no new official maps, crits getting more and more annoying by the day and of course, COD4 is pretty damn good and able to sway a few people to spend their nights playing that. So what is Valve going to do to keep it fresh? Well, we do have confirmation new maps are coming eventually and you can read in the following images some explanation of crits. Ht defended against the 4-0 Jobbers in TWL tonight. Ht takes the win on the classic 2Forts. Jobbers were a class act, which seems to be rare to find in todays clan base gaming, so we look forward to them climbing the ladder as well and getting to defend against them again soon. We’re now able to challenge into the top 10 and are going for the #7 ring next vs. Team Special Forces this week.

For those who live in IRC as well as the real lifeness, you’ll know you have to be careful with the old copy n’ paste functions. Why? Well, in IRC when you highlight a body of text it automagically puts that text into the clipboard. So an accidental CTRL + V can paste something you didn’t want published. Here’s a good example of that as a li’l clan espionage gets pasted by accident by a soldier of Comedy Options in the #TF2scrim channel.

So I finished up Assassin’s Creed today. Most people have been intrigued by this title but then back off when they hear that it’s a bit repetitive. Can’t blame for them that, there’s definitely a few repetitive natures to the game. But the enjoyable part is the production level of this title. Never have I been so enthralled with a next gen’s world and feel to the game. The look of everything is exhilarating and gorgeous. The fighting, albeit it rather easy, does get a bit more difficult and looks amazing as your hero Altair takes on 20 guards at once and chops them to pieces. Another issue people have is the storyline, that bleeds from the future to old crusader times. By the end you feel like you’ve stepped out of the Da Vinci Code. But there’s a lot to ingest here. I stumbled across this spoiler site that explains the very complex storyline ending. It also shows how they plan to make a trilogy of this title and this was only the beginning to the assassin stories.

In TF2 news, CEVO has announced their upcoming TF2 season. Looks like clans won’t have to worry about forfeit after forfeit anymore as it is pay 2 play. At $15 for the entire season per player, it’s not bad at all. But will TF and TFCers, notorious for hating to pay2play adopt this style that is used for the other big games? Only time will tell.
Over at Teamfortress.Tv the boys have the Round 3 results up, which had some huge 2Fort upsets and what can only be described as the best ending of a CEVO game so far. While we’re still rockin’ the TF2 I have to admit, Call of Duty 4 has been impressive enough to sway us on what to play nightly. The multi is very fun and the leveling system gives some nice progression and a reason to actually play it for hours on end. So Blackie, who also runs the Chicago TF2 server, has put up a COD4 server!
