I know people are bored to tears with games right now. I hear that. There’s nothing out there worth putting more than 20 minutes into nowadays. Even WoW looks enticing because at least the time you put in, you get back. But, WoW is more played out than Wimpy’s fleshlight and something new looks so much better versus something you’ve already raped repeatedly. I’ve been the least active of the Pirates crew but that’s more to time constraints than not liking the game. It’s actually a very technical and challenging game with more depth than you can imagine. Pirates of the Burning Seas just had a major patch so it does show the dev team is expanding their already large universe.

The main time spent playing will be in naval combat. You’re quest lines for your class will have you sailing the seas doing tasks and taking out other ships. As you progress you’ll be able to build and trade for better parts to build better ships. When you first start playing it’s a bit light as you get your initial quests and blast little sloop’s with your wimpy cannons. But once you progress and get some real firepower and learn that combat while sailing is a lot harder than clickety clackin’ on some dude standing still I’ll wager you’d be digging it. This is because the PvP is pretty cool and gratifying and is much more fun in a group of Hostile’s. There’s buddy keys out there to try before you buy so if you want a complex MMO then you might want to try this one out.

We’ve quietly been following the attack on the Church of Scientology around #Hostile lately but it amazes me how little people know about this in the real world! So, for the uneducated that don’t read every entry in this blog, Anonymous has waged war on the Church of Scientology after the leaked manual was stricken off all the websites by the Church. Well Anonymous didn’t like that. Oh, Anonymous? They are the faceless mask used for internet denizens much like us, they are mainly from the 4Chan pond who don’t like people fuckin’ with their internets!! So after a few propaganda videos went out an actual protest was set-up in London for the faceless ones to show that you can’t stop the internet peoples!! Too funny. Well it’s about fuckin’ time Valve. They’ve announced the new update with a new map will be live tomorrow. While this is throwing people who still play TF2 a bone, it’s just not enough. They’ve already degraded this game into such a spammy pub game it’s not suitable for competitive play and already it’s on it’s last legs with only a handful of elite clans left in the mix. Sure you could download maps and skins until your fingers bleed but it’s just not enough. We need dev teams to realize hardcore gamers are what they also need to deliver too! I guess really all that’s left to do in this game is HWGuy/Medic cybersex…

What the fuck is with Buffalo and skate blades to the throat?

One of the best ‘hypothetical’s’ that I hear thrown around the offices I’ve worked in is how many 5 year olds could you take on in a deathmatch style format before they killed you. It’s just fun to think of, all these little blithering tykes coming at you with death in their eyes and you with free reign to destroy them all. But really it is a conundrum because eventually you’d lose. Yes, you could grabbed a downling and swing him by the feet obliterating more of them but eventually they’d swarm the legs and get you down. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone built a scenario simulator for this situation. I already know I can take 42 on as I was lucky enough to get to try this out before some stupid simulator was made for it.

Yeah, I’d be jealous of me too.

Man, torrents have changed the way we whore media. But like anything internet related there’s always some mountains to climb to get the best out of it. Knowing the right main sites, knowing how to avoid decoy files and of course registering for private sites to be able to download something actually worth getting. Well, there is ways to automate registration but that’s only good for one-time grabs and then your ratio is hooped. For the real pros ratioing ain’t no thing and maintaining them on the good private sites is simple…if you can get access. Since so many sites only open registrations when they dump their dead weight members it pays to know when sign-ups are available. Or, you could just install this program (source) and it will tell you when sign-ups are available for most of the popular torrent sites and a bunch you’ve never heard of.

I hate to help out such a shitty game like FIFA Street 3, but they had a viral ad that is just worth watching if you can appreciate the footy. While I am sure it’s mostly doctored it still has an exceptional presentation to it all. Check this video out! Read more »

The writers strike is finally over so we can finally look forward to real shows coming back onto the boob tube. But while the strike was going on a bevvy of new shows got the green light to fill the void. While most of them have been utter crap one that caught my eye was a little show called Breaking Bad. It stars the always entertaining dad from Malcolm in the Middle as a chemistry teacher who learns his days are numbered and he decides to take a gamble and use his chemistry learnings for a different purpose, namely creating a meth lab so he can get the money together to keep his family happy once he passes away. What we get is a gritty and entertaining hourly show that is made by the guy who invented the X-Files. Definitely worth checking out, there’s currently 2 episodes available to watch either from their site or you can grab the torrents.

Being hardcore gamers we’re all aware of the upside and downside to MMORPG’s. But with them becoming more and more popular by the minute and becoming easier for non-gamers to get hooked on it was only a matter of time before the world started to notice the phenomenom that occurs when people start putting their entire lives into these games. Now there’s a documentary on the horizon that will begin to expose these and let normal people understand how involving these can be to people.
