Well both of the Ht fantasy footballs wrapped up tonight. In the inaugural year of our Dynasty pool commissioner [Ht]valence faced off against BlackOPS in the final with a 4 point differential for the title. All BlackOPS needed was a field goal or two by his last remaining player, Ryan Longwell, to win it all on MNF and the $225 for the title. Early on it didn’t look good as the Vikings couldn’t even score a point in the first half. Finally, in the 3rd quarter they managed a touchdown but the extra point was blocked! Was this destined to be Val’s year? Nope, a 40 yarder in the 4th clinched the title for BlackOPS. It was a strange year in the first run of this pool as it’s a complicated system and will take a bit to get used to for all the participants but it definitely allows for each person to be a true GM of their team. Make sure to have your league fees all paid up by the end of June 2010! For those who want in talk to Val and he’ll let you know if any owners drop out.

In the 5th year of the Ht Open league it came down to [Ht]Gibkeeg in his first year in the pool against [Ht]valence in the final. Ironically, even with both teams scoring quite well in the Finals the deciding factor was a huge game from the 49ers D who stomped Keeg’s dominating run this year. Keeg’s favorite team? 49ers of course. Both teams had stellar seasons thanks to their MVP QB’s, Rodgers and Rivers. In the consolation final [Ht]Kenyon defeated Fiddler. Kenyon had a nice run in the last few weeks and knocked me out for the last playoff spot after I had been in the top 3 all year.
