People think WoW is the king of all MMO’s.

That just is not true.

Everquest was the first real MMO (sorry UOers) as it was the first game to introduce the gameplay every other MMO has copied including World of Warcraft. It’s quite amazing that the original EQ is still going strong and continues to add content. Looking back at Everquest history one of the things they really nailed was epic encounters. They not only had events that were challenging but it felt epic to accomplish them. Having unrealistic levels of complexity actually helped create a history of godlike accomplishments for people and made it memorable. WoW doesn’t do that and rarely do any other MMO’s nowadays. So let’s keep our fingers crossed for an Everquest 3 k?
