Sledgehammer School

I have to give some props to last weeks release by the makers of Saints Row 2 for Red Faction: Guerilla. The game is a blast and boasts strong modes for all 3 types of gaming. The single player reminds me of Crackdown on Mars, where your objective is to liberate Mars from the evil group that controls everything. The only way to do this is to blow every fucking thing up. As a demolitions expert that won’t be a problem. The multiplayer is also very strong as you’re able to equip ability backpacks, this allows you to have builds as you combine the abilities and weaponry you find. With a ton of maps and game modes the multiplayer has plenty of depth. Last but not least is the couch mode, where you can locally play with up to 4 people as you take turns demolishing an area and see who can score the best. There’s 4 modes for this as well. All in all, a worthy console purchase especially since the single player is actually quite challenging to complete which you can tell was intentional thanks to their achievements. Pick it up if you own a 360.

My damned cousin bought Prototype because someone at Gamestop recommended it. I’m not saying Prototype is bad (I have yet to play it myself), but damn, Red Faction is fun as all fuck. Just seeing this post makes me want to call him to trade his game for this instead.

I’m playing Prototype as well, both are top notch titles. But I will admit i am liking Red Faction more but mainly because it has online and a couch mode.

picked this up per Mad’s reccomendation post. Demolishing buildings with remote charges is awesome and the multiplayer is pretty sick as well. Is Prototype worth $60?
