Back when there was more than 1 search engine and each engine tried to compete for users they used to add quirky little features. One of my favorites was when one of them added a downloadable ticker that scrolled each search term that was being searched for. It became apparent very quickly that there was sick motherfuckers out there that didn’t realize their searches are not only being recorded but broadcast to anyone who wanted to see them. But once Google took over the world searching became boring again…albeit it reliable. Well, Google does have a similar analytical feature, check it out. For instance, the word Hostile isn’t overly common except in our circles. Well, it’s pretty popular in Iraq. The US and Canada come in 2nd and 3rd. The term Hostile Takeover however is business orientated so the highest levels of interest come from the USA, India and…Finland?! Meanwhile, Team Fortress is a popular Australian-made mod that is now huge in North America right? Nope. All of the Russian provinces are the ones who top the charts with Canada the only North American in at 10th.Those Russkies must love their cell shadings.
I found it reading this interesting article.
