Gametrailers is currently doing a series of videos, giving the run down on the history of Metroid. They did a similar retrospective with The Legend of Zelda back before Twilight Princess was released along with the Wii.

I’m not sure what sparked the interest of such a series of videos but it is always good to have, especially with the span of games Samus Aran has been in. I fully agree with this video that Super Metroid is probably the best of the series and an extremely fantastic game. One of the few games I can go back to and replay it a few times.
